Lyndie was born in to a musical family. She was born and raised in San Jose, California, and has been performing since she was fifteen. Exposed to music from a very young age, Lyndie found her calling when she joined an award-winning vocal jazz group at Mount Pleasant High School. The instruction she received there pushed her to train and develop her voice and ultimately led to her winning Dow nbeat magazine vocal Jazz awards in both 1995 and 1996.
During those developing years, Lyndie immersed herself in jazz music. Finding every album by Ella Fitzgerald, she learned some of the most beloved scat solos and also began to improvise her own. Lyndie has showcased her talent at numerous prestigious venues, including the Monterey Jazz Festival and the San Jose Jazz Festival. Additionally, she has been an avid and giving member of the Bay Area music community, performing at various churches and not-for-profit events
